LLYLE HODGE AKA JUAN SMILINHO

Founder, Head Coach, Youth Worker

My name is Llyle Hodge a 35 year old Play/YouthWorker, Musician & lifelong West London resident. I have been working with the youth and play service in RBKC for over 16 years with the last 7 of them being in the south of the borough (most notably the Chelsea Riverside ward). I've worked on the World's End Estate for the last 7 years, the majority at Flashpoint Playcentre this is where Flashpoint FC stemmed from, prior to the pandemic I raised £750 independently to provide a summer football project which was successful. I have always had good dialog with the local residents and the feedback is that the young people in the area need not only football (consistently) but something they themselves can be an integral part of building, ultimately giving them a sense of belonging helping to further the support the mental health of our members. I am a strong advocate for Mental Health amongst children especially. I personally have suffered from poor mental health  (Chronic Depression, Anxiety and PTSD), at my lowest points I managed to continue to work, largely due to the good energy and sense of giving back I get from working with those associated. For me Football was a staple part of my childhood.  It helped me build confidence amongst peers, set personal goals, kept myself reasonably healthy and avoided negative influences. FlashPoint as a whole was and for many remains a vital part of life for residents on the World's End Estate.

8 FA Qualifications including (First Aid, Level 1 and Talent I.D).
